Natural disasters, pandemics, technological risks, and societal disruptions continue to test the resilience of communities worldwide. At the same time, injuries remain a hidden epidemic, affecting millions of people through road crashes, workplace hazards, violence, and unintentional harm. Preventing injuries requires not only strong public health policies but also a culture of preparedness that integrates risk assessment, early intervention, and resilience-building across all sectors.

This year’s theme is “Preparedness to Face the Unexpected.” It reflects our commitment to fostering proactive strategies, evidence-based policies, and cross-sector collaborations that enhance resilience and readiness in times of uncertainty. The conference will serve as a platform to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and drive action toward a safer and more sustainable future—one where injury prevention and safety are embedded in every aspect of policy and practice.
